The Rise of the Regional Fiber Provider Ecosystem
Fiber Connect 2023 is happening at an especially interesting time. The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program is kicking into high gear, which will help everyone in the United States have access to affordable, reliable broadband. Meanwhile, regional broadband operators, including Atlas Digital Group clients, are rising up to capitalize on the expansion of fiber to underserved areas. So it’s quite fitting that Fiber Connect 2023 is focusing on fiber disruption. Disruption indeed!
Over the past few years, we’ve seen a shift in the U.S. population away from costly cities such as Chicago and Los Angeles to less populated and more affordable regions. But that’s not the only shift. The COVID-19 pandemic ushered in a massive shift from working in the office to working at home, and for many businesses, work-from-home remains the norm.
